Sudhakar Palisetti
Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer
Mama always had a way of explaining things so I could understand them.This quote from Forrest Gump, a 1994 movie production, shapes the personality of the 1970-born Sudhakar Palisetti, who thanks his mother for the foundation of a strong and uncompromising value system that presides all his decisions. In 2013, he established TechM Semicon with Jayakumar Gorla. As the CEO, Sudhakar is responsible for driving the strategic direction for TechM Semicon as well as delivering on company goals. Under his stellar leadership, the Company Systems has seen an expeditious organic growth in both revenue and people with a global footprint. His drive and unswerving focus on excellence has helped position TechM Semicon as one the fastest growing and trustworthy partners in the semiconductor industry. But most emblematic of the company’s growth and success is its continuous year-over-year revenue growth. In his rich industry experience of over 26 years, 1970-born, Sudhakar has built Center of Excellence and high quality teams from scratch. In his most satisfying corporate experiences at Synopsys and Cortina, he also delivered several IPs and chips from concept to production. He is a strong believer in leadership that motivates and inspires people to make a difference in everything they do and in turn, brings out a profound impact on our future. He enjoys spending time with millennial generation. He loves to explore new cultures and understand different religious ethos. He believes in the power of music to recharge himself and enjoys Illyaraja and R.D. Burman, in particular. He is also a sports enthusiast and likes playing Table Tennis, Badminton and Lawn Tennis in his leisure time. An electrical and electronic engineer from REC Warangal (now NIT, Warangal), Sudhakar graduated in1992, before pursuing his Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur. Sudhakar lives in Bangalore with his wife and two daughters.
JAYAKUMAR GORLA
Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer
Jay, as he is fondly called, has over 20 years of experience in the industry. As the co-founder and the Chief Operating Officer at TechM Semicon is responsible for overall operations of the company. His leadership has been focused on developing and delivering technology-driven business services and solutions, providing outstanding customer service and team growth and retention. He is a people’s leader with a focus on detail and one who balances a breadth of experience and knowledge with an ability to manage strategically. He began his career with Wipro in 1999 as ASIC design engineer and within five years, was responsible for end-to-end chip delivery. After a decade-long tenure, he started NVLogic Technologies in 2008, an engineering service provider in the field of VLSI design that offered services in ASIC front-end and FPGA implementation areas. In 2011, the Company merged with SiCon Design Technologies and there he led the IC design and verification group for more than a year. But his entrepreneurial spirit and complementary skillset, made him join hands with Sudhakar Palisetti to start TechM Semicon in 2013. He got his Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics from SV University, Tirupati in 1998. Born in 1973, Jay believes in leading from the background and honesty being unconditional. He is a firm believer in what he was told as a child, ‘never cross the line’. Apart from chips, Jay finds his pleasure and passion in Physics and Cosmology. Being a teacher’s son, he recognizes the joy of learning and igniting the light of knowledge in students. Jay lives in Bangalore with his wife, Veni, a medical professional.
VIMAL KUMAR YALBURGI
Vice President, Engineering
Vimal Kumar Yalburgi is a veteran in the industry with over two decades of experience and a stellar track record for linking technology with business. As the Vice President of Engineering at Cerium, he ensures on-time delivery with prescribed KPIs to Cerium’s key clients. He is responsible for nurturing the talent and the overall technical growth of the engineering teams across the domains. Prior to Cerium, Vimal helmed the VLSI vertical at Infosys and was responsible for an exponential growth in revenue and team within a period of 4 years. He began his career with Wipro as senior engineer and contributed in developing IPs including AV Link Layer Controller, with 5C content protection design and validation. He took over technical front-end role in Japan from 2000 mid to 2003 end and built strong customer relationship and delivery mechanism with major semiconductor companies. He was pivotal in winning and executing key programs like security SoC- based on Iris recognition, re-engineering of ASICs for Industrial Automation products. Soon he climbed up the corporate ladder and by 2007 he was the APAC Head for Semiconductor unit. Later he was responsible for building Analog practice. He is an Electronics and Telecommunication engineer from BIET, Davanagere and graduated in 1991. He earned his Master’s degree from SJCE, Mysore in 1994 and the same year, he pursued Ph. D in Biomedical instrumentation from IIT, Madras until 1997. During this period, he published 14 papers in various international journals. His relaxation mechanism is a choice between cycling, jogging and playing Table Tennis and even cooking. In fact, his love for culinary experiments stemmed from his mother’s teaching to be independent in all aspects of life. This learning also enables him to appreciate the diversity of thought process in people around him. He lives in Bangalore with his wife, Rajani, an Ayurvedic medical practitioner, and a son.
SURESH KUMAR VARUPULA
Vice President, General Management
Suresh Varupula brings a wealth of operational proficiency to TechM Semicon as his 15+ years of experience in the technology sector has helped him garner knowledge managing a growing company in a robust industry. As the Vice President, General Management, Suresh has overall responsibility for all major operational functional areas including all general business, finance, legal, and regulatory activities for Cerium. He is responsible for establishing standards and implementing policies and procedures in support of the compliance programs established by the company. He ensures operational efficiencies in enabling functions and designs strategic initiatives to increase the profitability of Cerium. Prior to joining Cerium, Suresh held responsible positions in various MNCs. In his longest corporate career at Sapient where started as senior software engineer, he grew to look after their digital marketing in Asia and held various management roles during his thirteen years with the company. Suresh believes in the joy of giving and contributes 10% of his annual savings towards philanthropic causes. Suresh graduated from Andhra University in 2001 and further pursued his Master’s in Information Systems from the College of Engineering in Andhra University in 2003. He currently resides in Bangalore with his wife Krishnaveni and two children.
ABHISHEK BUDHIRAJA
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
As Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Abhishek Budhiraja is responsible for driving global sales and marketing for TechM Semicon with a focus on expanding the Company’s stronghold in the VLSI and Embedded Software customer bases. Abhishek brings to the position a distinguished career spanning over two decades that includes recognized sales achievements in the high-tech industries. He started his career as an engineer with Deccanet Designs (now, Flextronics Software Systems) and later moved to Japan to work with NEC. He continued his tenure with hi-tech companies and while at Sasken Technologies Ltd., he re-architected the global sales organization, resulting in the doubling of revenue in 1.5 years. He specializes in forming strategic alliances and programs that add value to the customer relationship. Abhishek holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering and a Master’s in business Administration from IIM, Bangalore. An eternal optimist, Abhishek loves to trek and play badminton. He lives in Santa Clara with his wife, Neha.
